Eric Jennings here: many people have asked me over the years "Why did you start skateboarding? And for What?". See, most people haven't seen what i was lucky enough to see when i was a child.(most miraculous things indeed!) The purpose of this page, is, i tracked down all the videos and people i was exposed to throughout my life, the people, who, invented what is now a billion dollar industry (when i watched it, it was nothing/tiny but giant). Most people don't realize it was the SKATERS who invented allll those ramps you have seen in any sport with Ramps, they designed and invented them (Roller Bladers, Bikers and all the rest, just STOLE THEIR INVENTION, this magic started in the minds of skaters and further of this point you will see/ as i will show you), some of these skaters were architects and engineers, nearly 90% of them are and always have been serious visual Artists. Cultured people. But when i first saw the glimpse of its birth, i was astonished, basically most of it started with like 4 guys. these 4 people who were artists, and industrialists who then became athletes. -- When i was 5,6,7,years old --- and then (second phase) mainly: 8,9,10,11,12 years old, in 1985,86,87,88,89 when NO ONE really knew what skateboarding was, i saw it in its rawest infancy. But. This was a special time. I witnessed a new form of Art and Sport being invented by creators, creative Athletes. In this page i aim to over-time of course/ show you what the-point is in that previous statement, that i made, that makes this sport magical, unique and important. Most of these pioneering Athletes where artists-first and then added skateboarding to their skill-sets/ abilities. If you watch their videos they made, they will tell you in most of them, that they were/are North Americans and Canadians who were just absolutely tired of the Cultureless, Artisticless mondain sports in American culture, they in most cases like me just hated American sports because of the fact that they involve no inventiveness, creativity, no real intelligence. Remember, Einstein did state, Imajination is more important than knowledge. (i think he meant sport to..) So what happens when you put the two together, things like KungFu, Ti Chi and Skateboarding happen. At first you might things skateboarding is not in that caliber, at allll, but please see this vids first..
So back to my broader point: the founding 4 people, who invented the sport of Skateboarding were all coincidentally visual artists and 2 of the 4 were also musicians. They did all this on their own individually and some as a groups(i will explain that more later), then, the droves of inspired children and people who came after them created a global sport now today a multibillion-dollar industrial-complex, which started in the hands and minds of 4 creators, of which any one of them could have spawned it. By some of these 4 skating together, creating THEIR OWN TEAMS, SKATEBOARDING SHOPS, STORES and SKATEPARKS, inventing their own wheels, Skateboard parts, Art work on their skateboards (all did this), their started their own Tauring Agencies, and started to Taur Globally. They effectively invented a NEW industrial complex. Spawned in North American and Europe, but its roots are California and New York.

Anytime you see, Roller Bladers or BMX Bikers on any RAMPS, you should remember it was Skaters who invented those RAMPS and THE INDUSTRY they are in, that is what it is now, for example EXTREME SPORTS and EXTREME SPORT competitions was started by Skaters, its there industry, because they invented every part of it. I will be defining that over time on this page, the Art and History of this CREATIVE SPORT and its CREATIVE ATHLETES.

When I was a child in the 1980's, I saw skateboarders skate vert ramps they invented, pools with no water which they would jump in, then they were invent their own pools (examples are on this page)

Skateboarding was invented in the 1970s and 80's, but it wasn't really what-is-todays Sport, Art and Industry (meaning it was nothing until these 4 people came along).. These 4 people had accomplished this when i started skateboarding (is when it was all starting to happen, it was nothing before 1987,88,89,90. Before that it wasn't an art it was a hobie, it wasn't an industry, you couldn't do it for a living. These skaters on this page are Professional, and get paid variably from 50,000.00 per year as a younger pro to millions as a well known pro, and if your Tony Hawk or Danny Way, then its closer to Billions through the profits of the gaming industry which now features This SPort as one of its highest profitable Sports Markets it targets. Albiet the only creative one, in Asia you have Martial Arts, the only other creative Sport. All other American sports are HARDLY Creative... You will see what i mean via- this page's evidence. Consider these people you see here, they are actually inventing their MOves, Techniques and Styles while you watch the video, ether pre-choreographed or on the spot.

So... In in 1987,88,89 is just saw 'Cruzzers' people of all ages just doing it for excersise and maybe fun. No , Styles (barely), no MOVES, no Tricks, no techniques, no 'gravity defying abilities' as they do now, no clear artistic expression was noticeable much at all - if even their was any. I thought it was fun looking, but, it didn't GET ME, then...... I saw 'Natas', his whole name is 'Natas Caupas', so then i saw him skate, be is this Blonde Nordic Germanic looking guy, and everyone who heard of him seemed to be in a state of shock.. I remember roomer went around my schools i was in, and i went to certain conferences and places, and their was this non-media propoganda, more Organic buzz/ fame going around underground about this guy.. Why....??? Because he was doing things NO ONE ON EARTH had seen before. He was doing 100s of things possibly 1000s that NO ONE KNEW WHAT THE HELL HE WAS DOING... It was just out of NO WHERE... This man is now credited for nearly inventing modern skateboarding as we know it, you will see in his video below, everything he is doing, NO ONE had done before(well at least 90%), the things he was doing were HIS INVENTIONS. I remember after he appeared over the years people started copying him (being inspired by him/ by the 1000s), I clearly remember dozens maybe 100 kids and adults telling me were all saying they were inspired by him to skateboard (this was the begining), that was amazing to witness.

When you see the video you may think: well, i have seen that before, but you don't realize that - that video is from 1985-86-87 when NO ONE was doing those things. No one. For a few years a thought he was the only one, then i realized their was three others (who came right after he did, except one dude, Mullen, he is his own story i will get to that later), who didn't even know Natas who like Natas were inventing something completely new NEVER SEEN BEFORE sport and ART. They to were artists in their own house while skaters on the street, but not quit as much as Natas. Natas to this day is a professional Artist, Graphic Designer, Industrialist/Company owner, Shoe Designer (he designed his own shues in the late 80s for his new sport) and musician. So, then after Natas came another SHOCK --- I saw Matt Hensley skate..... with in 6 months, Matt came and it was like Natas started and explotion, Matt admits Natas was his inspiration, and their from the same town. Matt, like Natas was skating On a newer smaller looking board with smaller wheels (than the Cruzzer boards which were basically surf boards with wheels), he was doing things NO ONE on EARTH WAS DOING... (just like Natas, but his own things...[which meant he learned the essence of Natas's teachings/ as Natas said, its about the love, art, passion and creative freedom all the while excersizing in a healthy all body exercise type sport) So then Matt came.. Doing things No one, even Natas was doing(Natas was still doing things no one else was doing of course/ thats their nature)/ but, the main reason was Natas's early retirement (not common in skateboarding as he is the only one to retire due to injury, i know of... and i know them all) because he hurt his ankle/but these three guys skated on average 20-30 years each)IF people knew all these years later how many people would be inspired by Natas and Hensley, and those that just plan COPY him....

But their was a 3rd person under the radar, because he was skating in a form a skating FEW knew of, called free-style, and the board was different, the competitions where different. That is until this person started skating on a normal standard skateboard.
It was later realized by few people that their was this additional, single 3rd person who like Natas and Hensley was a real INVENTOR skateboarder who was inspiring 100,000s from his work, he is NOW-credited with inventing the modern shape of skateboards and 75% tricks, his name is Rodney Mullen. IT turned out allot of what Natas and HEnsley were doing, Mullen did 10 years before but on his own weird skateboard, which i was ad that later on here so you know, as all i have is him in the 1990's after Hensley and NAtas. He was never noticed because he was not a street skater until about 1993, he was a Freestyle skater, which is like a ballerina street skater who only skates on very very smooth flat surfaces with a tiny tiny skateboard, on that little board it turned out Mullen was inventing most tricks all other skaters on Earth were doing in most cases LONG before they did, even Natas and Hensley, and he to was inspiring other creators. But it wasn't really until 1993 when Natas retired, and Matt Hensley retired (they put in 20-30 years each), that Mullen came in and then for the last 15 years killed it.. He still does.. I will get to that later. ---so.. After Natas retired, storms in the minds of skateboarders across the globe were boiling with inspiration.
Then something happened

----------------------------------------------
Here is Natas in like 1985,86, when THEIR WAS NO MODERN skateboarding anywhere on Earth except in this video on these streets Natas road on, it was only him:

-------------------------------------------

This is Matt Hensley, remember he came like months after Natas in 1987, he made (about 4 videos) before 'the video' that made him FAMOUS he called 'Hokus Pokus'. He and Tony Magnusient (who was a ramp/vert skater not street like Hensley). that video that made him famous was HOKUS POKUS (notice he chose a name only a magician would chose, and thats because he was one, a real magician and artist, a creator athlete) Here is:
one of his pre HOKUS POKUS videos[classic Hensley series) (video was called: shakle-me-not. It was his own video he made with his skate team, called 'H-Street', probably the first truly famous and successful industrial Skate Team, after Power Peralta tried and ultimately failed..), 1985-1987: This was a time when street-skating didn't really exist much (remember that when you watch this video), it was mostly all Cruzzers, their was no industry, no nothing.(the people skating street were just cruzzers, but Matt what something VERY NEW..) Elaboration: Hensley was the primary founder of probably the worlds most famous underground unfunded Skate Team: H-Street. He started it in 1987-88 with Tony Magnuscient. Hensley started skating around the same time as Rodney Mullen/ and Natas, around 1977.
1st HOKUS POKUS 1988-1989:

----------------------------------------------
More 1987,88,and some 89 of the Master.. (time before the time of this type of skill level):

----------------------------------------------

And now---
RODNEY MULLEN!!!: THE GOD FATHER OF SKATEBOARDING ARTS! (Started Skating 1979- till this day/2007)
He is Originally from Deutschland/ He is 100% German, then his family moved the the US. To understand Mullen is to understand his history, if you know this then you will know he is not a skateboarder, he is a Magician and Creator. (and no this is not fake like David Blain or David Cooperfield)
Any knowledgable street skater will tell you, he is the best Skater in the world to this day.
If Hensley didn't quit their may have been real competition, but really their is non
now; since Hensley got married he quite (oh god what a lose/he should have married a Skater like Bob Burnquest had the common sense to). Remember this guy is NOT just skateboarder, he believed he could invent a whole new sport and art, and that he did. He invented most of what is todays Skateboarding.
Take note while your watching these videos he is about 40 years old in most of these videos, he moves like a Ninja or KungFu Master, and he is more magical than most Olimpic Athletes (Olimpic Autheletes are nown to be inventors....

This is Rodney Mullen's first team he skated for, Powell Peralta, along with Tony Hawk, who is the tall blond guy in this pic. At that time these people were the best on the planet, and not only that, thats nothing, they are the Pioneers of the sport. They made it a zero dollar sport to a multimillion dollar industry with this video alone, the one in the pic: (you can see again the similarity of Asian Arts/ Martial Arts and Skateboarding Arts, most skaters watch tons of King Fun fliks, it is considered their inspiration/ the themes in their movies like this one, Finding Emperor Chin (founder of China).

The following first video here of Mullen, is when he was a YOUNG boy, maybe 7-9 years old... In like 1979-82... Ok... While you watch this REMEMBER... NO ONE ON EARTH COULD DO ANYTHING HE WAS DOING... Its alittle boring but funny in the begining.. But WAIT TILL the ENDING area of this movie... You will see Rodney do things HE INVENTED, that skaters for the 25 years after this movie have been copying. They all... Copied him... This proves he is THE-MASTER. You will understand how much of an Alien rarity of a Creator he was and really is when you see this first, before the current vids where he tares it up:

Rodney As a Child:

---
This next video is when he was a teenager, *and-after-that* he is 20,30 years old, and the VIDEO AFTER THAT he's in his 40s/ like now/ (or LATE... 30s../ i think 40+ though) and he's still the best... TODAY. Still inventing things NO ONE ON EARTH DOES. You will see below... (then after that you will see alllll the people who copied him. Its amazing he did this on a skateboard that was barely ridable:
---

This video is when he first started skating street on a non-free-style board, but he has been a skater since 1977, to this day.. Thats 30 years.

--------------

What you see in these videos, NO ONE ELSE DOES, even to this day 75%+ of these tricks NO ONE can do...

--Proof of inventer and industrial designer:

-----------------------------------------------
Forget THE OLIMPICS, this is INSAIN/ AMAZING ARTISTRY and INVENTION in a sport/ see things here that no one in the WORLD can do but MULLEN!:

Yes, inventors at work, with style and grace, inventing a whole new sport and art form: called Modern Skateboarding. (forgive me for leaving other great masters out, but i am going back to 87 here.. Thats why.)
-----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
And then Modern Skateboarding began..... And the inspiration liveszzzzz............ ON AND ON AND ON.... These people are ALL AMAZING and remember who inspired them.... The Original Masters inspired a whole generation and multiple generations of Skateboarders (a whole new Sport and Art form):
------------------------------
Colon McKay:
Another Prodigy-Child.. (you will see him in this old but amazing 1990 movie, he like the few masters in this Sport/Art, was a *true-talent* all the-way from the begining when he was a child (as this video proves/he was ALREADY PROFESSIONAL signed on the biggest richest most powerful Skateboarding Team, Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen was on 'Powell Peralta' the first real skate company along with 'H-Street'[which contained Danny Way and Matt Hensley). In this video you will see him doing the things when he was about 7-8 years old, he was a genious. In this video you will hear him make these joking titles for his invented tricks, but they are real PRofessional Moves today, of course they have more clear names, his names where the kind of names a 4-8 year old would think of, which in some cases the names sticked.. Its very cute... Only Mullen accomplished that, but actually Mullen did much more, but this kids still amazing.. But it is -- totally unheard of - with only 4 years under his belt at this time/ Colon McKay (and being this Professional and Talented like an adult/ it amazed the whole skateboarding world), he was already better than 90% of the adult professionals... This is what makes him AMAZING... See for yourself:

----
This is today... Now.. (Colon McKay..)

-----------------------------
This guy has invented something new, 'Comedy Skateboarding': (Imagine if Jim Carrey was a skater...) Warning::: at first you might think this guy is on Crack or something, but i have read up on him, HE DOES NOT DO DRUGS and his family eats very healthy organic naturaly European sytle food, not American much at all; so if anything he is more NON-AMERICAN/ though he is American. He is from New York but has lived in Silicon Valley California. Remember, the things your seeing **again** they are his own inventions.. They are not things other people do, it is these kinds of skaters who made the Art of skateboarding which them made it a Sport, it was first an Art, then MANY YEARS later it became a sport. So skateboarding is VERY different than other sports. Also, this guy is somewhat of a daredevil type of style skateboarder, not all skaters are like this, infact most are not, its just this guys type of humor and interest/ its personal to him.

------------------------------------------------------------
After being a practicioner of Skateboarding-Arts for 15 years, and an Artist for 25 years I have learned some Artists and ****some**** Skaters are VERY STRANGE PEOPLE who need the Art or Sport to vent themselves. Some of these people say, they love Art Theoropy, which can be for anyone, IRONICALLY for very very SMART SUPER-INTELLIGENT PEOPLE or insane people... Some of these people have serious problems, but turn the Art into a form of not only vent but also humor, in this case, we have 'Bam Margera'... Impressive Talent, ironically he is a Professional Skateboarder (albeit the CRAZIEST i have ever seen/not that they are all Crazy, BELIEVE ME THEIR NOT 90% are very nice good descent smart people/ who just love alternative sports/ not mainstream). So Bam, is one of the very STRANGE skaters on Planet Earth, that happened long before he entered the Sport/Art, in that he has mastered some of the most technically difficult MOVES of skateboarding, but, not on the Caliber of Mullen or Natas or Hensley because this is 2006-2007 were in here and he is doing nothing new, but he is very interesting daredevil, and comedian humor. To him Skateboarding is more of a Vent and Humor than a sacred Beautiful Art Form as it is for Mullen, Natas and Henlsey/ the real inventors of this Art and Sport. I would say these guys are the inventors of its comedic aspecs and its place for the tormented, albeit funny tormented. Well some of it you might not find humorous, but to me lots of it is funny, remember ***HE'S*** LAUGHING THE WHOLE TIME..... (even though the music covers it/ i have read up on this guy) Something i found out more recently, is that this guy has been using his giant loads of money he has been making to then move on and also make Comedy's (very funny work/slightly CRAZY though), which i think he really needs and he is REALLY good at its, i mean his work is very funny... You will see that more so at the bottom half below. I wonder if he was always rich, from what i have learned he may have been, and to me their is a major different before a mad rich person and a mad poor person/ ether way he is rich now. Remember if you don't like some of these scenes, remember, their are 100s of them and some of them ARE VERY VERY VERY FUNNY COMEDY WORK!! Worth seeing... :

His 'JackAss, Part2' Movie:

-----------------------

----------------------

--------------------

-------------------

---------------------

For those few of you who watched all these movies down this far, you've just earned probably the best treat...

DANNY WAY! Close friend and creative collaborator with Colon McKay [this guy was originally signed on the same TEAM the Matt Hensley was on (to understand way you have to see his original parts on the H-STREET TEAM skate video series/ the best skate videos ever made/ as they pioneered all these kinds of video styles/contents you see here on this page),
so Hensley and little boy Danny Way started skating together, it was Hensley & Tony Magnuscent who first found this boy genious around 1990(now a Tall-Man.. in these clips 2003-2007)] I saw this guy skate when he was about 13-14 he was SHORT, i thought he was about 10-12 (gezz maybe he was), and he WAS FUCKING AMAZING... HE BEAT EVERY ADULT IN THE ADULT COMPETITIONS, HE KICKED EVERYONE'S ASS. Royally.. He was BETTER THAN THE ADULTS.. The kids had NO chance.. He was soooo talented even then, he was better than anyone i knew even when he was a boy, the only person who can compare to this guy historically is *Tony Hawk*, Hawk like Danny Way was also a genious when he was a boy. I remember in 1981 (i didn't see it until about 1985) that I would watch Tony Hawk videos of his competitions, in California, and I remember in these videos he was a boy, about 11-13, little kid proportions and HE WAS KICKING ALL THE ADULTS ASSES... It was AMAZING. While all the adults were doing what they copied from others, he was DOING WHAT HE INVENTED and easily all they did, and they all had their jaws droped... I remember even the judges were in shock he kicked their asses... Now its happened again a 3rd time, first it was Hawk, then Mullen, now Danny Way. And now danny way is an adult..

Elaboration: Actually it was 1st Hawk, then 2nd Mullen, and now Danny Way, that, even when they were children, when i first saw them(i was a child myself), they were all about 11-14, even then, they were were better than 99% of the 'adult professional skaters' on their own right. People would always stand back when they came. They were children as talented as nearly ALL the top adults (its always a shock when a student ends up schooling the-master...) And of course NOW, they are the 3 most talented Skateboarders who ever lived.... (now your gonna see the 3rd/not that he's in 3rd place/ he may be the best on the Earth today/along with Mullen/since Hawk i think is kind of in retirement) There is one additional person i am leaving out (he's the 4th..), i will get to him later. That would make 4, but really these 3 are 1st,2nd and 3rd.... The 4th guy is not as significant. And as i said, Danny Way is 1-3 of the top skateboarder/artists/inventors ON THIS EARTH. Most of all the MOVES/TRICKS and RAMPS you are seeing are his inventions and no one but him can do the moves and the landscapes/ramps are largely his own designs. Remember when ever you see ramps, it wasn't Roller Bladers who invented them, it was SKATERS... The whole skate park thing, was invented by people like Hawk, Danny Way and Rodney Mullen, etc. These people literally invented their own sport, auditoriums, and industry (it IS a billion dollar industry now/ in their time IT WAS NOTHING/ IT WAS INVISIBLE). Further example: Mullen IS CREDITED with inventing the actual 'modern skateboard', the Board and Trucks(The metal contraption that holds the wheels to the board). So you see, they actually invented all that everyone else is using/ doing in their own sport.... Thats what makes this sport pale away other American burly man sports like Football/Wrestling/Boxing, its all about the wrong things with those useless sports..
Also, moot point, this guy is a bit of a risk taker type, thats why i put him after Bam, not that bam is even marginally as talented as this guy.
------------------------
HERE IS ***DANNY WAY*** (get ready to lose your breath... As i and everyone who saw him 15 years ago did when he was about 13-14 on H-Street[the most famous skateboarding team in them world then)

-------

REgarding the BELOW video: Hear his words (in the mid-section of the video), the words of his-kind.. Kindred soul.

------------------------------------------------------------------
OK...... Now... MORE NEW TREATS...
This is mystery man #4! ***BOB BURNQUIST!***
This guy, is VERY interesting...
Here's why, Danny Way, Mullen and Hensley are all German descent; is that a coincedence? I will say I dono, you--- decide... that one..
-----
Now why do i think this guy is extra interesting?
He's amazing because he like the other three is an INVENTOR, he owns patents...
Like Danny Way, Mullen, Natas and Hensley; but remember this guy came WAY AFTER all the founders. Skateboarding is NOT a Brasilian sport nor is it in Brasilian Culture, it was invented in California by people like Mullen who lived their for the last 30 years. Bob Burnquist grew up in a slightly richer family in Brasil and he had access to the money and people with money to see these guys in Videos performing in the native skateboarding culture in California, which is a fact/ 90% of the top skaters and skate videos and teams and THE INDUSTRY its self sprung from North America, mainly, California and the North East of the US, but no where else on Earth. So, the things i like about this guy, please remember, i do know allot about these people..
1. He is one of the only skaters on Earth who can skate both ways, on very (non skaters dont know that skaters chose one way of skating, goofy foot or strait, meaning standing on the board facing right or left, not both). Learning any move one way can take weeks, doing it both ways for most people is impossible.
2. He is EuroAsian, his mom is Asian and his dad is German. I can identify with that one. This means he is like Atreyu, Johnny Dep and Keenu Reeves.
3. His parents moved to Brasil after the Second World War ending, they flee'd germany, similar to Mullen's parents and Danny Way.

Well.. Hahhhaaaa I will let you be the judge... (by the way that giant mega ramp, he learned that from Danny Way. (but that is HIS OWN RAMP in his back yard (its the ramp at the end of the vid)

---
Below: Here is an interview with him, done by the New York Times: (it would let me put in the video on to a page so i could only post the link)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_1Y8UoLIu4
---
Just an example of how inventive this guy is, 70% of what he's doing here
only he can do/ thats because he invented it:

------------------------------
Here is a new section i am working on..
This section is beta so view at your own pleasure, i dont have the time for texting right now BUT I WILL........

I dont have any more time right now, but i will say this, their is no child or young skater in the history of this sport/art/skateboarding that AT THIS AGE WAS THIS TALENTED AND EXPERIENCED AND SMOOTH. Its shocking to watch this young one because it takes 99.9999% of skaters about 5-10 years to learn to do all that he is doing, some people NEVER... (well, let me refraze that, MOST PEOPLE could never do what this kid is doing!!)
HE IS 13 YEARS OLD! (this kids talent can ONLY be compared to Rodney Mullen and HAWK when they were boys, they to were THIS GOOD, but of course in another time 25 years ago)

---------OMFG... This is new, Deawon Song (Chinese/FungFu-Master/Jeti/Skateboarder, with Chris Haslamer, playing together and being creative together)... If these guys don't show you Skateboarding is truly a 'CREATORS sport', then your just blind as a BAT..

Part1:

Part2: (BY FAR THE BEST PART/ OMFG!!!!) 2&3

Part3: (BY FAR THE BEST PART/ OMFG!!!!)

---------------------------------------------
New Section Im working on but i have no time to complete this section right now:

---
Their is no females Skater better than this one:
Evelien Bouilliart:

---

--------------------------
I am working on a 3rd new section here, only when i have time, right now i don't, but this is the newest Transworld Skate Video of all the new current Proskaters. They are very impressive they have invented quite allot of new Moves and Styles, well, i few. Im not into the big risk, dare-devil kind of things, they got allot done in that department but few actually new inventions, that last trick where that dude rider up a wall and on its ruff, its nuts, thats NEW. And the first scene where the guy drops in on a flat completely vertical surface wall, thats new and some others, very nice video. One of the main reasons i put this video up is now its 2007 and we have MUCH better Movie Camera's and i LOVE the Fish eye 180 degree's view, it looks more like you would see out of your own eye if you were reall watching skaters skate, which IS far more interesting. Specially considering that, YOUTUBE videos are VERY VERY LOW RESOLUTION video quality is horrible.. See this stuff on a DVD or HD and you will KNOW why its so amazing of an Artistic Sport... (this is as close as youtube can get, because Transworld is a LARGE company with amazing camera equipment.

-------------------------------------------------------
OK... Another section, and an important one..

This man.. He is 100% Chinese, his name is 'Daewon Song'... (i have quality photos soon that will be in here, remember youtube vids are TINY picture frames in the movie so you can't really see these people for how they really look)
He is the only person who can stand up the the level of Rodney Mullen, i am sure not beat or be better than Rodney Mullen because Mullen invented 90% of the BASE moves, tricks, etc that nearly all other skaters do, including Daewon Song. But. This guy is VERY VERY VERY talented.. He also invents his own moves and tricks, and he is a little more into wild hi highed in the air risks, so in that area he is better, but as i said im not into DareDevil stuff more the Artistry, even in that aria Daewon was better than 75% of the people on this page before anyone ever heard of them. Most of these people copy other people but this guy is an innovator like Mullen and the other 3 of THE FOUR i mentioned, but i wouldn't put him in that list because he simply did not invent as much, but never the less he is very impressive.. (very IMPRESSIVE) He is one of the top 2-3 street skaters in the world. You already saw him above in the Cheese vid.. Here is him skating street his main thing...

---------------------------------------------------
Ok, i just found out their is this new AMAZING talent from British Columbia, his name is Chris Haslam, here are some pics and vids, he is AMAZING.. He is one of the most inventive skateboarders i have ever seen, although he is very stiff in the STYLE department, his technical skills are genious without question as you likely already saw a section with him and Daewon Song on the Cheese video/ the Mini Ramp vids. He will likely along with Ryan Sheckler become the next best skater on Earth (well he might never catch Mullen/ remember in Mullens time he was 20 years ahead of everyone else/ this guy right now it only near best and a few inventions ahead of everyone which is typical of new best skaters, it will only be time before Mullen and Daewon Song come back with a newer video that will push everything years further/as they always do/ these guys skate together, their friends so, they feed inspiration off eachother). Also. i know Mullen will never quit, he will just become liker and like old Fung Fu master (just as dangerous/innovative but in a different way/nothing can ever stop people like these people, they will always remain creative, its in their soul..). Mullen will likely mastering higher levels of energy of the arts for older wiser people, but i will have my eye on Chris, he's interesting, but god dam he's so stiff... He needs to losen up, well, i don't like critizing people at all so i retract that.

Yeah so he's very interesting to watch, he fucking rides on one foot while in the middle of complex moves/tricks he invents...(even while he's on a dam handrail) God, thats impressive. He taught himself about 65% of Rodneys tricks/moves and some new ones of his own, that no one but him does, thats the nature of this sport at its core. Fun and true innovation artistry, while maintaining healthy excersize sport:

Chris Haslam:
